Prayer Ministry is at the core of how Jacaranda Church Prayer Ministries department operates.
The team are there to enable church members to have a deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, a deeper relationship than they are currently experiencing, in doing so this will help them become more effective in their Christian lives.
Jacaranda Church offers everyone the chance to seek prayer for their own needs, to pray through a concern they have for others, or simply to share in giving thanks for God's blessings to them.
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him." 1 John 5: 14 - 15.
The Jacaranda Church prayer ministry team works actively to encourage and promote prayer within the life of all church goers. By being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we pray that God's love, guidance and healing power would be released for the benefit of His people and to His glory.
Steps to Christ, p 93 Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. Not that it is necessary in order to make known to God what we are, but in order to enable us to receive Him. Prayer does not bring God down to us, but brings us up to Him.
Prayer ministry is inseparably linked with Bible study and telling others about God’s saving grace. Prayer and Bible study bring us into the very presence of God. It is here we are cleansed from sin and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be concerned and do something about the needs of others.
The twenty-first century Christian recognises the urgency of the times in which we live – the last days before Jesus comes again. To fulfil their God-given role, a revival and reformation must take place. Revival is a renewal of the spiritual life. Reformation takes place when the Holy Spirit is allowed to change ideas and habits so the individual puts God’s ministry as their foremost goal.
